As has been mentioned a couple of times before:
Try the following: delete your previous backups and it will work again. Has workedforme as for many others.
Good luck!

I just had the same problems - tried different things, and I finally deleted the old backups and tried again, and to my surprise it worked!

I guess it has got to do with the original backup had been done on an older firmware version so subsequent backups won't really cut it. Meaning that after a firmware update and a backup restore, one should probably do a full back up again... just guessing though...

Thanks for the tip!!

Hi All,

I also had some problems with the backups, but I followed the tip to delete the old files and voila, it is now working!

Thanks for the pointers!

I am not sure of the reason of why it works after deleting the older copies... I did not do any firmware updates and am still remaining at R7. If anyone has an answer, would appreciate a posting of it

Cheers!

Yup! Deleting all the previous backup did the job for me too! Don't really know why, but it worked

I emailed SE twice - no reply (apart from the autoreply) twice. I reinstalled the software I tried different combinations of backups, but no good.

Deleted my previous backups and lo and behold it worked!! Thanks SE for nothing.

Now the problem I have is I cannot find the backup on my 'puter. What I want to do is copy it to another place, then delete the original, then make a new backup. This way I can keep at least 1 previous safety copy.

Does anyone know where the backup is saved?
