Location defenetively works under appointments in calender and it syncs with outlook (I'm using active sync)
Task manager is kind of a Todays screen, showing meetings etc, anyway to set it as default startup screen or similar?

Not on the P990
The home screen isn't customizable like on M600 and W950, as the P990 runs a different version of UIQ. (Both versions are still UIQ 3.0, I don't remember where I read the details, though.)
EDIT: "P990 flip open uses Pen Style, flip closed uses Softkey
Style, M600/W950 use Softkey Style Touch" --
