phones are registered to individuals in bahrain? thats unusual. what happens when you sell? do you have to notify some authority?
I would have thought using the phone on the network would have automatically registered the IMEI with the SIM and no further action would be required

Sony Ericsson has a waterproof cell, the S0902 iWP+.. Older phones include the Ericsson R310 and R250e.

if it is water damaged then a service point wont bother to repair it even if you pay as normally all the components need replacing.
if you look next tonthe battery contacts on the phone you should see a square sticker which has red and white squares on it. that should be white but changes to red when it gets wet. this is so service points can easily tell if it got wet.

The important thing is to take the battery out as this speeds up corrosion of the PCB. Leave the phone somewhere warm for 2-3 days to make sure it is totally dry - take it apart if you feel confident about doing such things. Don't worry about warranties as water damage voids them anyway.
You might get away without too many problems, but as already said it is quite hit and miss. Water damage is usually terminal and there's little you can do if the phone does exibit signs of damage

yer let it dry first other wise if you turn it on straight away it will short circuit the fone and you will have a dead fone on your hands,......... and your conscience
