Roaming Costs are one of my bigest Gripes at the moment.

Im on contract with Orange and when was in greece it for 70p a min to call back home.

Orange bare in mind do not charge per second after the ist 1min like all other networs do.

so a 1.05 min Greece to uk call is a whopping £1.40

I take my Tescos Sim Card which is on Pay as you go is a fantastic 40p per min for he first min and then charged per second after to for the same 1.05 min call, on Tescos it costs 43p

So Thats Orange £1.40 to Tescos 43p, Every Little helps!

It doesnt end there, Orange is the dearest of all networks to send a photo message from abroad between 70p to a whoppin £1.50

I have argued with Orange and its pointless. I like the UK network, but when im on holiday I swap sim cards, I use Orange for SMS only, but when it comes to everything else i take my Tescos PAYG sim card.

How much is Orange loosing out i dont know, as my bills with tescos average £70-100 per 2 weeks.
I dont mind paying for something that is value for money, but refuse to pay for something that i know im getting ripped of with.

If o2 for europe can charge 35p per min, Vodafone has passport and t-mobile charge 55p per min, its about time orange scrapped some charges, orange have plenty of networks round the globe so its about time we had discounts.

Oh and how roaming works is a good one.

Even when you are abroad all the calls, sms etc re still routed through your own network first.

So when a person dials you in the uk, this is forwarded to your network, then to the foreign network this is why there are interconnecting fees.
