@ jedi-master
get them now!!
5 times better than the included!! Warm basslines, crispy high tones, you can listen to every instrument playing in a band..helps ofcourse W950i excellent quality..Beat my ShureE4C!!
Now about the forever problem..volume on W950, M600 and P990!!
First of all get MP3gain
http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/ and get all your mp3s at 97 but not more..
If you are not happy with that then, send it to Seunlock as I did to flash you a generic FW cause the european one limits the volume (EU regulations)..

does it affect quality of the music? how much louder is it?
Id send to se-unlock but im in aus, will take about 2 weeks id say. I can live with it, quality makes up for it, but would love to have louder if possible of course.
Think i will purchase one of the headsets to see how they are my self, if i dont like them i will sell them on ebay aus for a little profit

and buy some shures or etymotic, or some other expensive headphone....

More CDs are recorded at about 92 decibels..Metal is around 95-96..
So you can imagine..
As the db rises higher tones are cut, but til 97 is not noticable..Bass is that rich that makes you happy..the good thing with mp3gain is that you don't ruin the mp3 by applying it..you can get it back anytime you want..is just a number that's written in the mp3's registry..that's all!!
Send it!..I live in Greece and it's on the road now..It only takes a week or 10 days..If you count the days you are thinking about it they are more!!
This is what I thought and I sent it next day!!
Ds970 are better than Shure, believe me!..
By the way..are the hbh-ds970 earphones, the Sennheiser CX300?

no they arent the sennheiser

i thought they were hpm-70 reworked....I know for sure they are a sony headphone but cant remember what model. Check out the sony a2dp bluetooth headsets, probably where

got them from but change design, etc.....
Ive got panasonic hje-70 which i paid 50gbp for. Good set of headphone, would compete with some of the higher end headphones. Bloody hard to find too, not one store had them....I want a change from them.
Its either hbh-ds970 or a new set of normal headphones. Maybe a set of Ultimate Ears even

And about se-unlock it takes about 3-4 days for my phone to reach them.

@virobono
You have totally missed my point! i said se should ADD another mode to the phone which would enable you to use bluetooth with music but without phone functions. i am fully aware as to what flightmode is and as to why bluetooth and all other radio functions are disabled in flightmode.
What i am saying is:
Phone Mode:= phone, Music, organiser and radio functions enabled
Flight Mode:= phone and radio disabled with music and organiser enabled
MUSIC MODE:= No Phone, Just Walkman With Bluetooth function

@ jedi-master
3-4 days to get there 1 day for the guys and 3-4 days to get back equals to most 9 days..Cool..Send it then..
Look, if I hadn't bought the HBH-DS970 I wouldn't have fallen in love with music in W950i after all. Absolutely nothing to do, nothing to compare with the supplied crap..That's why I found the will to wend them..Because I believe in those HBHs and in that W950i to make me one hell of a fortunate "I have the greatest sound- and freedom don't forget" guy..
Don't forget that comparisons are not easy..I own an ipod uncapped and Shure E4c -I bought them 250 euros- and I'm still telling you go and grab those..
Now if you want some other nice stereo bluetooth thoughts I'm sending you some links: (I like them because you can change the final earphones)

@Jedi
GO for the 970's I have them on my own personal W950 and they are awesome, especially as I can pick up calls with them in and the call quality with them in is fantastic.
I really can't say enough nice things about them, and if you speak to me nicely I might be able to get you a set at trade.

No, I understood; it is you who is missing the point. It doesn't matter whether Bluetooth is used with the phone or just for listening to music - it's the fact that it employs radio transmissions (entirely separate and different to the phone's emission) to operate that's the problem with using it in aircraft. The ability to utilise Bluetooth to listen to music without also having the phone function might be useful aboard ship, for example - I regularly cross the Irish Sea and there's a longish period where there's no phone signal - so being able to listen to music wirelessly without using battery power on the phone might be handy, but it's a no-no as far as commercial aircraft are concerned.
