Yup. There's quite a few issues with syncing contacts on the M600i; both ways. Another annoying problem is that reminders go missing.

Sony Ericsson support requested a copy of my PC System Information, all running processes, and my M600i System Information.

Something did cross my mind though... I already have active sync installed. I'm curious if that has any involvement. I'd think not, but you can really never be too sure.

To all people that have had the same problems as myself (or similar), have you ever used/had activesync with Outlook?

Saying that, I've also used Palm's software too...

I never used/had activesync with Outlook…

what it’s worst I had “sony ericsson pc suite” which doesn’t get along with “sony ericsson pc suite for smart phones” so none of those two programs work fine on that computer, the funny thing is that “sony ericsson pc suite” refuses to uninstall…

Any way, I installed “sony ericsson pc suite for smart phones” in other computer that hadn’t “sony ericsson pc suite” nor activesync, and still found the same sync problems…

I have both pc suites installed and can switch between synching M600 and K800 without issue, and I didn't do anything special to make it work

Masseur, do you sync by cable or bluetooth?
I forgot to say that in my case the sony ericsson aplications didn´t like each other in the bluetooth field... they fight each other for the com ports... (i guess). With cable booth aplications "see" the phone and sync.
Problably my problem with the sony Ericsson suites has to do with my vaio laptop, the Bluetooth it’s integrated in the laptop and gave me problems in the past.

Maybe when i install vista next month with the updated programs and drivers everything goes fine, and let´s see if something comes up with the contacts sync problem...

I've got a SZ4 vaio coming in a couple of weeks with vista but unfortunately another thread here says that SE won't release a vista compatible pc suite until 2nd qtr and I haven't yet read anyone say definitly that the current suite works ok on vista

has anyone tried it?

Besides that "w" sync issue on our contacts, I also have issues synching the categories (I have 8 categories) on my notes and contacts. More importantly on my notes because I have a lot. The M600i just cant see the notes inside my categories but if I scatter them at the root of the Outlook Notes folder, no problem it will sync them all (Outlook 2003).

Not categorizing them would be a lot of hassle searching. I dont have this problem synching with my Treo 650 using Chapura conduit manager (on the same Outlook data file).

Anyone got ideas solving this issue?

SE does not support categories while synching. is there any third party software that adds this vital function.
