I have had my K790i since May '06 and since my k750i joystick gave me some problems i brought a case for it and it has not gave me problems, no joy stick problems no button wearing off and no lense cover sliding open

, buy a case as soon as u buy a new phone any phone for that matter

You guys must wear your trousers really tight. I have never had that problem with either my K750 or my K800. (K750 for 13 months, K800 for 3 months)
By the way no case on either, I hate cases. My cousin's case f*cks up the flash on his K800

I agree too, and i hate it. Why can't they just have a very small internal eyelid?
In general I find my k800 much more fiddly and frustrating than my k750, but its partly due to Vodafone UK's rubbish customisations.

I have never found it open in my pocket but i have picked up scratches on the silver rim of the lens due to the sliding shutter. Thankfully the lens covering is a little bit deeper and so hasnt been scratched yet.

mine live in a vertical pouch so it's not affected by trying
to lie horizontally in a pocket. There is a definate force
required to open mine so even when in a pocket it doesn't
open.
I have to say I prefer the direction of openening on the K800.
I had a K750i back on my old 810i and found that that one
did open when in a pocket or pouch !!!
