Thanks for that.One more question.I got a 3g sim this morning from o2,put £10 on it.When i put the sim in my w850i,it shows the 3g symbol.When i put it in my p990i,it does`nt.Any idea why?

have you set the P990 to GSM only in the control panel, connections, mobile networks, more, GSM/3g networks settings?
if so, you'll need to set it to GSM and 3G

It`s showing 3g now.Maybe it takes a bit of time to register wit the 3g network.It goes fom 3g to 2g.It`s back on 2g now.

yeah it does if its the first time. I got a W950 this morning and master reset it and it took a while for the 3g symbol to show

The 3g symbol lights only when a 3g connection at that location is strong enough for the phone. When the signal fades too much, the symbol goes out. Looks like your o2 sim works better with the w850 than with the p990.
