Take the batt out for 2min. Then insert and charge the phone. Try to connect again and use the recovery option. If that does not work see a service center.

@prashray

just take it to the service centre...warranty is only voided if if you debrand a phone...even then the service centres dont care, as long as you have proof of purchase....

anyway, take it to the service centre, its not your fault it wrecked. Its fault as their own program did this....

@prashray

No need to take it to the service center ....

just delete all the content of the folder

C:\\Program Files\\Sony Ericsson\\Update Service\\db

then start the update programe again .... and it will download a fresh copy of the mobile software ..

the internet connection must not disconnect through the update operation and everything will be ok.

it happened many times to me

Thanks for replying noorjab.
Yeah I did that once and then tried to start the process again but even then the downloading update or so dialog box went to 74% and then it just vanished and this took a lot of time.

So I would rather take it to the service centre because i have spend enough of my time (as well as bandwith ) in doing all this.
I also have my exams nearby so would get into this stuff only after they get over.
Thanks for the advice m8.

nope the warranty is not voided coz you did not use any third party software...but they wont know that you flashed it unless you tell them..just dont tell them
