Ok just managed to get the phone alive again after it died.

Had to flash the erom, main, fs and gdsf/tpa files!!

I thought brillinat might have it osrted then. POW inserted the mem card and:

FLASHING WHITE FLAMMIN SCREEN.!!!

So what cda files do i need for the UK. UNbranded as i want the phone unlocked and what main and fs version are more suitable,

I worked for the U.S. repair center for all SE phones, and was in charge of the End User departments Software line. I'll try to help anyone I can, As far as the white screen thing its the most common problem for Sony right now, check you phones manufactures date behind the battery its listed like 04/06 that would be the forth week of 2006, if you phone was made less then a year ago and 15 months on some models you dont even need a reciept to have it fixed for free from sony, and if it is more then a year then if you have a reciept it good for one year after you bought it. You can contact sony and get what they call an R.M.A.# and send it to PTS Electronics and they will either fix it or swap it for a new one. many white screens get swapped cause we could fix them with sonys EMMA3 program but they would eventually go back to a white screen. I dont see what your talking about? The only thing i get that might look like that is dead middle of the info panel, it reads 06W10, or just to the left of the CE Kitemark which reads 0682, in which if thats correct then the se w800I would have been powered by a leather bound briefcase that weighed 12 tons and the handset would be as big as your leg!!
