@nokevin:
With those arguments, Microsoft Windows would be bad too. Wohoo!
(Yes, I'm a Linux geek.)

Class Action Lawsuits are one of the large evils of this world.
And I should know, I am a lawyer. Please don't abuse the legal system with these petty concerns.

fortunatly, my watch MBW-100 works fine with the P990i, at the exception that the watch stop all A2DP connection to any other devices from the P990i

Did you switch on the powersaving option in the Bluetooth Settings? If so then your P990i can only connect to one single device.

Well ,
i've bought 8 of these phones at launch . (8x699€) which is quite abit of money . 2 of these phones (one of them is mine) , we returned after 2 weeks to the shop to have it fixed . SE could not get anything fixed and after 2-3 months we received a phonecall from the shop : 2 new P990 phones were arrived since they could not get our phone fixed . As of today these phones are still in the shop , i've tried the latest software available for our unbranded unlocked phones (R7) , they do not solve all the problems and the phone still feels sluggish and crashes a lot especially when using blackberry client .
So all in all i paid 699€ for each phone which we were able to "use" for 2 weeks .
At this moment i have sold off 4 out of 8 phones for a fraction of the price .
1 is sent to india now cause no one wants to buy it here . 1 is still here in my drawer , and the 2 replaced (new) ones are still in the shop .
As of today i have tried everything to exchange the phones for something that does actually work as intended .
The shop wants to pay 100€ for the 2 new phones , Sony Ericsson is not willing to do anything according to the shop .
On top of not having access to email etc. for quite a long time , having to buy new phones and sell our old phones with more than 2500€ loss actually does reserve a lawsuit if you ask me .
This is not a product anyone would be allowed to sell to the public .
This is not the right way to treat customers who bought such products . SE should have given the opportunity to their distributors to exchange this phone for another , working model at least .
What shall i do with the 2 new phones which are lying in the shop ? collect and try to ebay ? or .. ?

petty concern? I wonder if the lawyer can share her / his P990 experiences with us?

Hi all,
I have mentioned this quite a few times already and have followed the threads over @My-Symbian also. Until everyone stops accepting not fit for purpose devices and returns them immediately rather than waiting 6 months or so and numerous firmware upgrades to allegedly fix problems that should of been done prior to launch the situation is never going to change.
I also accept that whilst many are really not happy with the way SE have treated them and the quality of there delivered devices many more seem to be be happy to accept the situation and wait for further improvements to be made. The simplest any easiest action to take for now if you are unhappy with your device is if still within the initial 14 days purchase period return it and get a refund, if you are now after this period your only option is to sell it take a loss and learn a lesson of not being an early adapter and like many have mentioned no longer purchase any SE products. SE are well aware of what they have done and have paid the price to a degree already by the number of returned units and also the amount of once loyal SE customers /supporters who have vowed to never buy SE products again. But to be honest SE's market share of smart phones is so small anyway this is very unlikely to effect them financially as they are generating their profits through their Walkman and Cybershot branded units and now their budget and low end devices. All it has done is tarnish their reputation within the business community as this was a fiasco for what was meant to be their flagship model.
SE's loyal fans will continue to buy there products and put up with the problems they encounter which is there choice to make, those that are not willing to will just move to other devices and manufacturers but as far as a class action lawsuit goes IMO it is far to late to try and pursue this avenue now as most if not all of the major problems have now been addressed IMO.

Loyal SE fans are fine. People genuinely happy with their handset defending SE's fine. Fanboys aren't. This board's community is generally cool so as long as fanboyism is kept to a minimum, things probably won't go outta hand. I agree that SE's probably learned a lesson from this fiasco as well and I look forward to their new offerings. This time though, I'll pass on being an early adopter. Where I'm from, there's no 14-day-full-refund scheme.

@Discord,
and there lays the main problem many who where early adaptors won't be again and many more won't return until the general reports from the forums are of virtually problem free phones. SE really need to make sure the next UIQ3 phones really work as they should out of the box and also will need to incorporate cutting edge tech not what was when they were announced they will need WiFi g, HSDPA, or and edge . For now the pressure is on SE to perform in the smart phone sector any more screw ups and it will destroy the little credibility they have left in this sector of the market. If the suits just concentrate on bottom line figures and quantity not quality SE will have no smart phone market left and that IMO would be a shame as Ericsson in it's day were leaders in this field both in terms of tech, design and unbelievably by todays offerings quality.
