Honestly, the only phone that stands out from nokia at gsm is the E90. It truly is well equipped and well done to nokia on that. The n95 is not as impressive as once thought, 5mp, GPS and excellent video recording are the main draw cards. Right now SE needs a wake up. Bring out the big guns soon!

I bet you it will have less problems then all the WSOD K800's and other SE phones with this problem and lets not even bother mentioning the fiasco that is UIQ3 shall we. If you like SE fine and no phone is perfect especially at launch but at least Nokia address the problems quickly and give you a change log so you actually know what improvements are being made. Unfortunately IMO since Ericsson merged with Sony quality has gone out the window they are focusing on gimmicky branding with Walkman and Cybershot and the low end to generate revenue and market share and profits but heavily at the cost of quality and reliability just check how many threads on here of quality problems and phones that just die. Sorry but SE ruined Ericsson IMHO.

Marc

actually i never had WSOD in any of my SE phones before. and i have own all the major models since k750. never had problems with WSOD, joystick problems, speaker problems. only the loose connector problme in the w900. that's about it. im not saying that SE should do something better, all im saying is that having everything in a phone doesnt mean it is the best out there. do we know if the N95 is actually good? have anyone of you tested it? so just saying oh SE needs to do something bout it cuz N95 has everything isnt right. im not helping anyone here but who would actually get a N95? not alot of ppl would right. the N series and SE are concentrating on different market. nokia already has established themselves for a long time so it is safe for them to try these things. but SE is still climbing the ladder on the chain. so they cant do anything stupid.

wsod... meh... it's happen on a few phones... but they again i've had nokia's die in the online update as well.. all manufacturers will have their problems...

se's focus right now seems to be in the midrange.. where nokia seems to be focusing on mini computers... (with ram issues still though lol )

very different markets... now that se has acquired UIQ3 and seems to be positioning it to challenge s60 we'll see what happens.. (i'm talking non-touchscreen version..cause we know it's here.. ala motorizr v8..

if anything nokia's midrange/lowend will get dominated by se's midrange this year.. se's midrange phones easily surpass all others in the category when it comes to features and performance in music, cam and multitasking...

however nokia will continue to pick everyone apart with it's powerhouse which we refer to as s60..

the e90 is a nice device but a niche device and won't be anymore popular then the nasty p990.... (not bad mouthing the e90.. i think it's great.. but it's not a major player just something for the hardcore users...)

the truth is se doesn't really have a solid smartphone line up yet..

but compare apples to apples (phones in the same range and then think about what you're saying)

I totally agree with the original poster, SE is milking the design of the W800i and putting in similiar features in slightly modified W800i shells.
Its the moto strategy, find something good and milk it dry.

First I was a loyal Nokia person 5120>8210>6210>3650

Then it was K700i>K750i>W800i and now W900i im now tired of SE and want either the N95 or N73.

SE is getting pretty boring and in comparison to Nokia; SE just falls short.

U guys really need to stop whining. It's getting really old. SE have built up a solid platform and thats why their models are very similar. If i was shopping for a mid reange handset then i'd much rather buy a k550 then a k750. Even tho it's pretty much the same, the k550 has a newer processor(much quicker), a2dp, some small enhancements to ui and is much nicer looking. If u look at the announcement of the w880, then u will obviously realise that SE want to announce phones and release them quickly. The k850 will be announced next month along with a host of other high-end phones. They will reach the market the same time as other manufacturers products so why complain. Just wait and see. So what if nokia has presented the e90. It will only be available in 3rd quarter. If se announce Elena in april or june and it's available in sept/oct then isn't that much better. SE is a small company with small production facilities compared to nokia. Several journalists and other insiders have predicted a very bright future for SE so just wait and c what they have to offer. Cheers

You could not have said ot better. Too many ppl are stillconfusing more mp is better, when indeed it just tells you that the picture is bigger not better. Quality of the picture itself is more important.
