A great move from SE, but when is it coming to India. Are they charging for the updation?

Hi all this was my post from the original story under the news section and no MO has not changed.
This is just ridiculous its like saying we make crap phones so we are going to try and make it easier for you to fix them. Just fffing release good stable handsets and there should be very little need for this bull. If and when i need a firmware upgrade i take to a Nokia service centre and depending on how busy they are have it back in a couple of hours max or do it at home. What are they saying SEUS which has been around for ages is also crap now and what is this it takes days rubbish. If they want to improve customer service and satisfaction release a finished product not a work in progress this is the worst attempt at positive spin i have ever seen SE you really are pathetic now and it will be a cold day in hell before i ever touch another one of your products ever again. RIP Ericsson you served us well.

Dogmann- you're sounding more and more like a broken record these days. I know you're disappointed with SE but to attack everything they do is unacceptable. I'm also disappointed too but I'm giving them a chance, maybe I'm a little patient than you but I do believe someone should get that opportunity. Whatever happened to your insightful and informative posts? Anyway, Ericsson had such service centers and I actually used them a couple of times with my gh688. Worked well I must say. Good idea.

Well, the key is those who don't have broadband connection and an added value of other content (like video music, ringtone, etc) that make ppl would pay.

of course we here would do it from home, but this is more for the average man on the street and is probably more opportunistic for those just passing one of these as probably many people on the street wouldn't think about firmware updates

Its a bit like the photo printing kiosks available in the UK, where you can stick your memory cards in and print of pictures, people walking by would use it even though they have PCs at home. End of the day to have these available makes it easier for the public and i would call it customer service even though a fee may need to be paid.

Yeah, it will give access to all ppl owning SE phone. IMHO, SE can't afford to give this as free service so that is why I say that other content (video, ringtone, games, apps) is essential to make this service work.
