I have had some people returning to my store complaining about low sound and such. 9 outta 10 times it's the jack that has come loose a little. This can happen. It's not that much.....had this with my Discman too

i had the same problem with my w600 jackport...i had to replace it for a new one cuz the battery charger would go in
