To me, it looks like its trying to boot from LAN.
Check your boot order in the BIOS.

danny, i hope this teaches you a lesson; always have a plan b! i always have a linux boot disk to be able to work as usual without the need of a harddisk. linux is booted from the dvd into ram, so all hardware can fail except the motherboard, ram, cpu and gfx card.
