it can be updated..but only with an update for /57 and this means that, even though u have an old fw, you have to wait...and no one knows for how long. it might be forever...

I think you should debrand it...

/57 may well be an oceania generic handset however even if it is you may well have to wait a long time for an update. Seeing as it is still R1A I would suggest that the possibility of it being upgraded is slim, seeing as there have been multiple generic upgrades since then, and if it were a common CDA then it would have had at least one of those.

I live in the netherlands and my versions are:

PDA: R4A11
Phonesoftware version: R9EA001
Softwareversion Bluetooth: R3A01
CDA version: R2A02

I try updating my phone with update service but it won't connect it just starts connecting with it the normal way to transfer files so anyone know what to do about it or to manually download the latest version?

I have /8 CDA with firmware R1B01, and I can't ever update with SEUS due to the looping back to homepage problem.

I have a problem with my w950i touchscreen most of the time it ceases to work although it will work on occasions, is this a firmware prob and if so will debranding solve this. i got it 4 months ago from 02 and seuk site will not update to a new firmware as it says no update available.
