My girlfriends younger brother had his phone confiscated from him over the last term break, only trouble is it wasn't his phone it was one of mine and he was too frightened to tell me, which is a shame really because if he had told me i would have gone and got it back!

I agree schools must have rules and pupils must abide by them (cos i did! onest! ) but to take a phone away from someone and not return it at the end of the school day is not right! most parents buy their kids mobiles in case of emergency and a means of getting in touch at any given time! so what good is it if they need their mobile for such an instance and some teacher has their phone locked away at the school?

seems that all the girls in my daughter's school (yes, i really am that age!) have phones. simple rule: don't use them in school time... before and after is fine. and let's face it who r u gonna call during school time?

in my school if a phone is taken away you will receive it at the end of the year.
but i will never have my phone confiscated. i'd better insult the teacher and have a chat with the director rather living without my phone

Hi all,

seeing as i left school in 1976 strangely enough this problem never arose in fact i still remember when pagers where Hi Tech well before Mobile phones even started. I'm old no make that practically ancient I'm closer to my 50's than i am my 40's.
