Ok, I followed the above link and downloaded the drivers on that page (i noticed they were cradle drivers and not USB cable drivers, but I dont suppose that matters). I ran the drivers and at the end it said 'drivers uninstalled', wtf??

So I rebooted my machine and tried installing the USB cable again, and now I have a whole new problem. I now have a 'Code 31' problem, which according to the help and support centre, is a problem with USB drivers on my machine and I require a hotfix. So I now have to call the Microsoft support centre tomorrow to get my 'hotfix'

I'll keep you posted :|

Ok, here's the update on my post. I called Microsoft next day with the code error and told them my computer needs a 'hotfix', after a few questions they kindly told me to go away as my copy of windows XP is not 'my' copy.

So I googled the problem and found out its a registry problem, I ran my registry program and it sorted a few probs, but still to no avail. I was losing hope at this point and went to do my grocery shopping where upon I purchased a magazine called 'windows XP' (official magazine), and the reason I purchased it is, it has the solution to fix your 'hotfix' problems manually (yay!!). So after following the magazines instructions, I fixed almost a dozen 'hotfix' problems. After that I got a nice little trojan virus from the net which Ive spent most of the day hunting down and fighting as I do a LOT of online shopping, and I dont want my bank details ending up in the wrong hands.

As for the USB cable, I havent tried re-installing it yet as it is now 10.30pm, Ive just finished some online shopping (g/f birthday soon) and Im off to bed to read. I'll try the cable tomorrow

Once again, I shall keep you posted

PS: Im now toying with the idea of getting a company to update and flash my phone

ok, still no further forward with the USB cable and my computer, and still havent got anyone to upgrade/flash my phone, but I was fiddling around with my phone the other day, with the flip closed, and tried the bluetooth once again, and voila!!! I now have bluetooth.

So my phone bluetooth can be enabled with flip closed but with flip open it freezes up, anyone experienced this, or know why it does this?

I have bluetooth, tfft
