What 'simple' features would you want from this profile manager ??
Is it just a simple way to adjust ring-on/silent ?
What else is a 'must have' feature ?

Hi simpsons, check out Magic Profiles Pro and you'd be amazed at what the good old UIQ 2.x devices could do to change all kinds of profile without user intervention after properly setting it up for the first time:
http://symbianwave.com/product.php?id=mpprouiq
Then check out what these 2 super powerful products have made UIQ 2.x devices so lovely for the past 3 - 4 years:
Magic Screen -
http://symbianwave.com/product.php?id=mscreenuiq
Magic Launcher -
http://symbianwave.com/product.php?id=mluiq
SM pro is close to Magic Launcher, but sadly, due to SYMBIAN SIGNED, The developers (wonderful CellPhoneSoft of course) are not able to achieve hardware key mapping on UIQ 3 devices

Imagine being able to configure your Power Button to bring up a special "My Phone" menu which allows users to quickly scroll using jog dial and switch over to any background opened app, or scrolling through Favourites to launch any of your pre-defined Favourite application. All these, whithout the need to touch the screen on an M600i/W950i or P990i in FO mode.
Of course, all 3 of these apps requires Symbian Signed to be able to achieve the same functionality on UIQ 3, hence SymbianWave have decided to back out

hi all,but if these applications are costly to developers(pay to UIQ)on the other hand these apps are so requested by users and the developers will gain doubles and doubles the money they paied to UIQ.
don't you agree with me??!
cheers,

i think that is the theory, but in practice the results are mixed :/

I think the problem is mainly for the small developers...the medium and big ones can support the signing cost, and the apps will sell alot
but affecting the small devs is very bad, because sometimes inovations comes precisely from them, and CPS is a good example
