@RDZONE99:

I'm not sure if you are located in the US but if so T-Mobile has been rolling out security patches on their network which has been blocking various ports based upon your data plan. Essentially, they discovered a lot of users with a $5.99 TZones plan were leaving their intranet and had full internet capabilities via Opera Mini. You can read about it more here :

That being said, I'm having the exact same problem on my m600i with the RoadSync client and my MS Exchange Server and I have an upgraded corporate account. I can receive 'Direct Push' e-mail just fine but am unable to send e-mail via my handheld because server refuses connection.

Anybody here an Exchange Server administrator?

strange? I've used that on P990 and am currently using it on
just to confirm, use SMTP authentication should not be checked. Also go into more, advanced, outgoing and make sure secure connection is set to none

here is a screen dump of my outbox settings

Not sure if that's relevant, but with my voda e61 for my yahoo account incoming I have to use yahoo server, but outgoing I have to use mail.vodafone.ie! A lot of yahoo customers have that problem - apparently that's a 'recent' change...that, btw, applies to nokia's native email client and profimail! Sounds a bit like your prob, and might explain why other folks - with diff. accounts (?) - don't have that problem?!

almost everyone has to use the mobile provider SMTP server rather than the ISP one. this has been one of the most often posted problems asked on Esato since I've been here

its better lately with more ISPs providing authenticated access (SMTP-AUTH) but I tend to just choose the mobile providers SMTP as it keeps it simple and always works

yeah, I know that now, but for 10 month it worked o.k. for me, so I was initially confused, and I must have missed that it has been mentiond right here in this thread - didn't intend to spread old news...

t-zones? whats that?

as mentioned, I've never had a contract with t-mobile so I wouldn't know about t-zones

everything I do with t-mobile I simply googled as there is plenty of info out there without asking here on Esato, though if you ask here I'll be happy to google for you
