May be they should differentiate between the K and W series by not just supplying Bigger Memory Card but as follows:-

K series should have Carl Zeis lens
W series Should Have better Sound Cards

K series Should have 16m color screen so pic looks better on it
W series should have Double Speakers for stereo sounding Ring Tone

SE will only suffer loses if they do that kind of experiment. W900 is a prime example.

Please explain?

The W900i was a high-end device for its time, hence the high-price; mid-2005 announcement I believe. I don't seem to remember any reoccuring problems with it, quite the opposite infact.

Plus the battery life was superb, especially if you turned the UMTS off.

What Shaliron is refering to is not implementing a 2MP camera, 3G and and Walkman player as in the W900i, but HSDPA, WiFi, 3G, high resolution imaging, huge memory etc etc all in upcoming devices.

That is what makes devices less stable.

I always wanted few things
Two speakers
Support for office/pdf (like piscel viewer in samsungs)
Ability to move,copy folders.
Better video on all phones (CIF for mainstream,VGA for high end)
Slightly larger screens (no i dont mean 3.598546" but something like 2.2/2.4")

Sorry to tell you this but SE does not have any Carl Zeiss lenses and it is very unlikely they will ever as Nokia has them.

@Tehy03

If the screen is of a good quality and the processor is fast enough including of course the graphics chip then yes 16m colours screens do make a difference. As apparently the screen in the N93i is even better than the N93 which is already the best screen i have seen in a device and i believe the N95 also has a 16M colour screen also.

Marc

meh the colors don't matter if the res isn't high enough...

the e60 easily has one of the best screens better then any of it's brothers and sisters with qvga at 16m.

i personally think the s40 screens are pretty horrible for the spec... but they are a great size.... the best qvga screen i've seen believe it or not is moto's e2.

lol if anything se copied moto for stereo speakers.... not nokia copying se

i get the meaning,. Its not SE has Carl-Zeiss lenses. Its SONY who have it in their cyber-shot and handycam, (cyber-shot here refer to digicam from sony except Kseries).

btw, i had a question, my K800 battery drain faster whenever i snap pic using flash (1% approx per pic sometimes). is this normal? i need to recharge it once 2 days.

~~~
however i think i should keep in mind that this is a competition, SE should not be the best nor the worst, it just need to be the most efficient. nothing is perfect. if it's world wouldn't be fun.
Well you can move and copy folders on thw W900i and W800i.
I totally agree with the majority of the posts in this thread.
I also dont see why SE is segmenting their product line in the manner in which they are doing.
When I buy an expensive mobile phone I want ALL the top features, I dont want to buy a high end phone which just caters to my imaging needs and gives me next to nothing in terms of music features.
When one purchases a high-end Nokia except in the case of their fashion series, you get the latest in ALL areas. This is simply not so with SE.
As a matter of fact SE with their new marketing approach really cannot afford to operate like Nokia because if they did they would have no room to water down models like the W800i and K750i to give way to mid-end solutions.
I am fed up of SE and quite likely my W900i will be my last SE purchase.
Take the K800i for example not very expensive but still rather expensive in comparison to some other models. The phone has a good camera and imaging features but comes with only a 64mb card, that's unacceptable. The K800i's predecessor the K750i came with a 64mb card so SE should have increased the size of the bundled memory card that comes with the K800i. They decided not to put a decent Walkman application in the phone, yes the Walkman is a line of phones but they can have a cybershot phone with the walkman application. Noooo, SE wants to create a revamped version of the K800i which will be a W series phone with the Walkman application and bigger memory card and price it higher to generate more sales. The people will simply buy a bigger card and flash their K800i to the latest firmware.
Why is it that SE users can and do modify their phone so much, its because SE phones are lacking in several areas. No other brand has as many users modifying their phones like SE.
People want a high-end phone that is an all rounder, sadly the majority of SE's current models are not all rounders.
Also, SE phone frequently crash, have WSOD issues and the like.
I am fed up after flashing my W900i and having it crash twice after flashing and having my W800i have the WSOD problem as well. SE needs to work on their software.
How can I spend $500+ for a phone only to have it crash a week after purchase?
SE fails miserably in comparison to Nokia.
Two speakers on series phones would be sooooo good. The Samsung D600 has got two and the 3D sound does work plus it's loads more louder.
i hope that sony ericsson would make a phone model with a larger qvga screen (16 million colors tft)(2.4" up) with no light sensor, with dual stereo speakers with 3d effects, at least a 2mp or 3mp camera with autofocus and macro mode, with a d-pad navigation key (no to joystick), quad band and umts 2100 support and a 3.5mm headphone port in the phone itself. it also must have a long battery life and a very stable software(not prone to wsod and failures).
I quite often see posts asking for everything in oone phone. ie. 5mp camera with optical zoom, touch screen, stereo speakers, bluetooth, irda, HSDPA, EDGE, video calling etc...
It is the same people who would complain if brought it out only to find it is big and doesnt have a good battery life. People seem to expect everything but dont want the drawbacks of having everything.
Yes the N95 has everything but is huge.
lol... meh nokia does the same.. my e61 doesn't have a camera, my n80 doesn't have a battery lol and my n73 doesn't have wifi... and they all cost a fotune...
you think se people mod their phones? lol go get a moto they have a new seem hack everyday and a seem editing map lol...
if you're not happy with se then leave... but please realize that every other manufacturer is doing the same thing.. all have a growth strategy that involves releasing multiple phones with slightly differnet form factor and features... n75, 76 anyone? n93 and n93i lol moto v3, v3i, v3x v3xx the list goes on and on....
