interestingly, I was totally put off the walkman phones when I got the first one, the w800, the day it came out. I took it back to the shop same day.

and yet now, 2 of the 3 phones I carry daily (w880, w950) are walkman phones crammed full of music

I used to have the K800 but really I kept that mostly for the cam. now I carry a dsc-t30 7mp in my backpack and I do feel these walkmans are somewhat more stylish than the k800, or k810 that is coming

I guess more people are interested in music phones than camera phones, and that combined with the walkman branding probably explains the success these statistcs show

I wonder what new innovations/technology they will implement on the phones in the future.

interestingly, 280,000 odd K750 owners used their phone for music, compared to only 210,000 odd W800 users. (due to there being almost twice as many K750 owners as W800 owners.)

So strickly speaking, the K750 is a more popular music phone than the W800!

Go the K750!!

The only two phones more popular as music phones than the venerable K750, were the W810 with 420,000, and K800 with 400,000.

So in the top three SE models, Non Walkman phones place 2nd and 3rd. The W810 saves the Walkman bacon...

But it shows the Walkman branding is just that, branding. Any phone that can play music is a music phone, regardless of it's branding.
