.......or the other simple reason which I have mentioned before here on the forum.

The handset was upgraded BEFORE the contract was renewed. Therefore the handset still belonged to Orange. In other words before the 12/18 months. Orange have been known to barr the phone if you have not applied for a PAYG tarrif???

Does that sound like yours?

I think thats a bit cheeky of orange as you take a 12-18 month contract out, which you cant just cancel so they do get there money out of you ,so y should they be aloud to block a phone when the contract carrys on , it just sounds like they are being to$%ers for the sake of it.

@dacons:
You did the right thing, by solving this for the new owner .
Unlike some others (wellknown traders here), who did nothing to sort it out, leaving the buyers with blocked phones !

this is odd. The same thing happened to me ages back when d500's were selling for £200.

I sold the phone then 2 and a bit months later they come back to me telling me its blocked. In the end I gave a refund, but was far from happy about it. From the contaents of the phone you could tell the owner was a proper twat. I have a feeling they blocked it to get a new phone or something....
