True, but there isn't any model really replacing W900i, it's better than its successors !

Even though it's "old", it's still a very impressive phone !

Exactly @ Marly, in my country the W900 was available on Vodacom/Vodafone branded (white an black) and on MTN (unbranded white and black), i got mine from Vodacom black and branded with this Vodafone firmware, BUT the W900 in my country was available for a very short time thou. why would SE discontinue such a great phone, thanx to everyone for their replies! please keep them coming this wil answer alot of peoples questions on why it was discontinued

thts not wat GUCC meant...
the w900 was discontinued very early,they made a limited quantity only..and i really dont know why!
ive never seen it in any local stores in my place!

I think has use all of it resources to concentrate in development fw for newer model.
In other words didnt have enough programer to support older model or run effeciency policy by cutting time & cost to improve older model fw

it was never meant to be released in india due to its price tag..although i sent my cousin one from here as then he would have an unique phone..

yes before upgrading to the k800 i wanted to buy the w900 about 6 months now coz it is the best of w series on the market but they told me that it is discontinued why??? even if i'm using the k800,the w900 would have been a better choice for a second phone

There was only limited quantity as it was a Vodafone unit and not a generic handset on most networks.

SE would of sold more if they RTM
