that is not true,do not look at this issue only,he told us about things added to the new firmware so you can just see the topic without replying as we saw that it is useful to here any little something about the new firmware that we want to download so i think this topic is useful.

regards,

The functionality is very good as it is, I use it as a PDA with a weather forecast, but it is so unstable that it is unusable as a communications device.

my P990 does not reboot by itself now (r4b03)...so, i say it is stable...but opera is not stable yet

regarding this thread, the public firmware might be very different than the one tested by ajack...remember r5 has been around for more than 2 months for testing purposes, and there were several revisions of it

No problem here what so ever of the reboots. But sure they can add a few things on this new f/w. And I hope it is today that we will see it

Hi,
If SE hears everything, they should here this:
my P990i and GPS receiver BT-Q 815 connects but looses conection every 10 seconds or so.
I looked on BT-Q site at FAQ and this is what they say:

"Qstarz BT-Q818/BT-Q810 is featured with Auto On-Off function (Sleeping mode) for power saving. However Nokia N73/E50 does not support Sleeping mode, so it would interrupt the Bluetooth connection when pairing with Qstarz BT-Q818/BT-Q810 GPS receiver. Nokia N73 already released new firmware V3.0649 to solve this issue. Before using Nokia N73 with BT-Q818/BT-Q810, please consult Nokia service center for latest firmware update. However Nokia E50's latest firmware hadn't resolved this issue. Qstarz will take this as first priority to work on it and announce the positive result soon. "

I assume this is the case for P990i also. Can SE implement this Auto On-Off feature so I don't have to throw out this GPS Reciver (which is quite good I can say)?
I assume that the GPS Receiver goes into Sleep Mode too fast and is awakened by TomTom with a "Try to connect"...This is happening every 10-15 seconds.
It can be solved on phone level I assume.

If SE should hear you.... GO TO THEIR FORUM AND POST IT THERE...unless you have done that already.

It is so 'strange' that many people here rant and rant and mostly no one of them actually posts over a SE forum where it is much more likely that SE reads it...

...even though I think they don't even care what's written there. In any case, it would be the better idea to post wishes and rants where SE is.

I see Esato more as a 'Helpful' Forum where you can find help and ideas. It has however become more and more that people just rant and post wish lists. For what? Are they still writing Santa Claus wish lists???

Come on, lets wait if we get at least a new fw now...

"When connecting to PC via USB, will be prompted to choose between Phone model and File Transfer mode. Previously, you had to go to Control Panel to do this and was quite annoying."

isn't this feature in the current firmware?
