Come to think of it. The other sim card(sun) doesnt support 3G yet... thats probably why. maybe

My previous W850i also have this problems.
my same sim card can work with a lousy Nokia 3310, but very hard detect by W850i.
i went to change a new sim but still the same.i try other sims, tested with my fren sims, but it still cannot works. sometime after it had succeeded detected, it will show "inactive simcard" after sometime.
try to send your phone to Sony Ericsson service centre, ask to change the sim detector.
