I think I've always posted here that I am not tied to one brand, though I do have a fascination for SE products and once, maybe twice a year, they produce something which really gets me. I'm still clinging tight to the M600 as the ketboard on that is just unbeatable at present. But I will always choose another brand when something comes along that fits my needs. Often that is windows mobile devices but right now it seems to be this Nokia that has caught many peoples attention.
SE will surely take the GPS route as location dependant services are starting to become more prevalant now, although location can be fairly well determined by triangulation of cell information I don't believe it as accurate as gps with current cell density

masseur, i never said the p990 is not bulky, but the n95 is also big when open, and still bulky...none of the two match the m600/w950, or even the "P700"...my point!

fair enough, but at the same time the M600 and W950 have less built-in capability of the P990 and even less compared to the N95 and yet the N95 is shorter, narrower and only 6mm thicker than the W950 and I think that makes my point
does 6mm difference over the m600/w950 really make a phone bulky when the other two dimensions favour the N95?
I guess we could debate that all day...

I have had my N95 a couple of days now and it is really a nice phone. But it cant replace my P990i. So for now, I will keep them both

Hi Ares,
Get real the P700 is even bigger and wider than the M600 and W950 and in MO is a porker and all to have a 3.2meg camera with still no optical zoom or proper Video recording either and is still full of old tech no HSDPA, all it has is a Camera, WiFi and enough Ram and a menu system that should of been present in UIQ3 from the start. IMO SE need to start producing real cutting edge devices instead of fixes to what should of been delivered in the first place. Even the retrofit of the new OS only shows what they should of delivered over 9 months ago and it is still months away and will not have addressed the lack of Ram either. If the N95 had a SE badge you would be screaming it's praises as the greatest device ever and aren't SE wonderful, but because it is a Nokia of course you hate it. You are so closed off to anything that isn't your beloved SE you really can't see the wood for the trees. After all it has only taken 9 months to sort out your P990 that still has issues and will get a whole new OS over a year after launch all of which is perfectly acceptable to you in your warped mind i mean after all what do you expect after paying £500 odd for a flagship device surely not that it should work as advertised.

I have to agree with you masseur,
i am a true

fan through and through but nokia are moving light years ahead at the moment!
It's only my love for

keeping me at the moment, but i really want a unit with GPS built in! I turned down an O2 orbit in favour of the W950i and even could have got an N95 instead of my K800i.
But i can't continue like this! come on

breakthrough before i become a hypocrite! and buy another nokia!
I agree with this. Touch screen and QWERTY is what keeps me with SE at the moment. looking at the nokia E90 recently, if it only had touchscreen and was a bit slimmer....

dogmman, you might has well stop your usual garbage...go harass another person please
back to topic, i do know there are prototypes of SE phones with internal gps being tested...my friend pcascais, that is now posting at the P700 thread, saw one, among the many SE protos he sees on his work...so i think its a matter of time...not really a decisive point for ME, because i see what use i give to GPS - around 1/2 times every month, and for that the external unit does the job just fine

@Ares
Dogmann has a point that Nokia with N95 is way ahead SE atm. Maybe we will see these features in the successor of P990. P700 is not all that!

In my humble opinion SE should bring back the 5 way jog wheel, the lack of multi directional pad as per P990 or a 5 way jog is a real pain on my W950 and in fact it spoils what is an OK device, the P700 does not seem that different in terms of its form so I guess it will be just as much of a pain without.
