Phone unbranded and not locked to a network.
When I try the web I always try a web page that I know I've previously been able to open using my Wifi connection at home. (Also not working at the moment but sure that's a Wireless router issue on my home pc)
No idea why it won't let me browse web via hotspots.
Most people in UK manage to with the correct settings.
Not sure if I need to flash FW again but I'm running the latest there is.

Thanks Kalu for the thread link - unfortunately most of those were trying to connect to home networks though and I'd already sorted that out (until my wireless router packed up anyway).
My main issue is trying to get access to the Web through hotspots / airports / city centres etc.
Obviously I can't change or configure the settings of these routers seeing as they're Hotspots but pretty sure most people manage to access Web with their P990 so not sure why I can't.
I gather the P990 is "802.11-B" whereas most devices / routers are "G" - but should also be backwards compatible for "B" too.
Is there anyone who can use Wifi Hotspots in UK without any problems and if so can I double check your P990 settings?
I can't change anything in the "Default Wifi" account seeing as it's read-only so whether the problem is in there, I don't know. No idea how I find out either.
Keep the help coming folks.
