okay today is the 8th day uptimefor me. am really really surprised to see the statistics given by 'yungfu'. I am geting only 9 mb of ram after reclaim in lv3 in smp.

Congrates to WB40. i don't think i can brake your record but Overall we can now take it for granted that the last update has made the p990i a device what it ment for. The device is much more stable as already mentioned by 701 above. offcourse there are silly bugs but once they are rectified then we will get a real device in hand.

Just for comparison, my M600i is currently on 11 days, 22 hours (so near enough 12 days). I just did a level 2 reclaim (I only have Sman Free) and I now have 11.8mb free - it was just over 11 before. It's solid as a rock and perfectly stable.

I usually close apps when I'm done with them with the built in task manager, but I'm not too obsessive about it.

I also have the M600i and I have to say the P990i is more stable. No matter what I do, I have to restart de m600i everyday due to all kinds of reasons: apps freeze, Opera closing down unannounced, etc.
I'll also upload a screenshot soon, currently just 17 hours of up time due to a stupid thing: I received one or more sms yesterday, read them but the green led still blinked as if I didn't read the sms' so I had to restart it - a silly little bug but still a bug.

@701 - what firmware is your M600i running? Have you flashed/updated it recently? I had similar problems with mine after a previous update, but resetting and flashing again cured it completely on the same firmware. Since then, and since more recently updating to the current fw, it's been absolutely 100% reliable. It's my only phone, and I use it pretty extensively every day.

Ill be getting one of these next week. Is it a must that it has to be restarted on a regular basis?

Huh, I haven't checked the 990's problems for months now. I thought they have all been sorted out ! I am sad to hear you people struggle like this How about owning a cell which can stay on for weeks on end. yes applications crash now and then, but I don't have to restart the cell to reset the faulty application

@bavlondon2 and @mario 2004
Friends you can see here in this post that people haven't restared for 21 days. then why guys think that we are facing problems. its not a problem at all rather we are testing the device's capabilities to handle things. I had a k750i before 990i. i use to restart it every 2nd day not bcoz it was required but i think restarting a phone is 4 or 5 days deesn't let you lose anything except a few minutes. I think i can spare these few minutes in 3 or 4 days to have a mighty device like 990i in handy. off course this is an individual opinion. What do u think??

I dont quite understand what your saying. So are you saying that its better to be on the safe side and restart it every few days?

Ive never done such things in the past with any phone but i havent got this yet so ill wait and see.

Thanks though for the reply.
