Out of the headphones I have, these are my preferences:
Sony EX90 > Shure E3c > Panasonic HJE70 > Sen CX300 > Sony NC022 > Koss KSC75

The E3c block out sound better, but the EX90 sound slightly better and much more comfortable

yer tbh they look awesome but i've had some phillips ones, HPM-70, and sen cx300 and cx300 seems to have the best bass-clear sound ratio

for example phillips have very clear sound but not bassy at all
HPM-70 very bassy but not clear at all compared to cx300

so id go with cx300 tbh

Hi all,

I think the one thing that is now obvious is that Music phones really have come of age and rather than just accepting the mediocre listen to a few tracks whilst on the move. We now expect and demand a quality listening experience as good as if it was a stand alone device which i also feel is achievable.

IMO the first step as with most MP3 players is forget about the included headphones as at best they will be adequate. Listening to Music is a very personal thing and obviously the type of Music and the sound we enjoy will vary. But i would say that with well encoded tracks and here small is defiantly not best IMO it is wholly possible to replace a stand alone player within a Mobile Phone/ Smart Phone.

Personally i am still very far from happy with A2DP having tried two different headsets one with my own headphones so although no wires is a great idea. For now i would rather pay the price of wires for best quality, but do look forward to it getting much better.

Marc

Been using some Etymotic ER6's and i can say for they money they are amazing, the sound is simply amazing and it seals almost all sound out and they could easily be worn all day without any discomfort. Also they are very durable in terms of build quality.

you are the third person that as well as appreciates good sound quality has also noted about the lack of quality in the A2DP headsets.
i'm probably not going to buy on now without actually trying one out first.

off to the sony centre to try out there ones i think...
