Joe,

I wish I could tell you my settings however the T300 comes pre-installed with the T-zones and T-mobile internet settings as well as the WAP settings and MMS settings. And unfortunately the settings are locked so the edit menu is disabled for them, I can't even get to them to see how they are set up.

I also tried to go to the tmobile.com support page to see if they have some kind of setup information for the t-mobile internet but there isn't, they only have the t-zones settings posted.

Note that the two (T-zones and T-mobile Internet) are two different kind of services and one will only allow WAP traffic while the other will allow any kind of traffic to go through.

If you only have T-zones you will not be able to use T-mobile Internet, you'd have to add it to your account first.

If you already have T-zones AND T-mobile internet added to your account you can use the POP3 e-mail client as well as browse the net from your PDA etc.....

I can give you the T-mobile data tech support's phone number if you want just private message me for it. They are pretty helpful and they are a LOT better than T-mobile's primary line of defense (customer service) who can not do anything that relates to T-zones or T-mobile Internet.

However they guy at the data tech support told me if I wanted to upgrade from T-zones to the smartphone account I'd be without T-zones for about 5 days as they would have to re-push me through the system and it is backlogged. However after abour 30 minutes both my POP3 and T-zones was working perfectly fine and it hasn't skipped a beat ever since. I am one happy camper.

If only SonyEricsson's tech support was this helpful....... (they still suck balls on the T300 memory leak issue)

GTakacs,

Thanks for the info. Hmm...I currently have T-zone with 1M of data and 300 SMS, which is a great deal, and I don't want to pay extra to get T-Mobile Internet just to do email.

It's interesting that you can't see the settings because the EDIT button is grey out.

Does anyone out there who use email via GPRS. If so, posting the settings would be wonderful.

Thanks again.

Joe,

It's only $2 extra ($5 vs. $2.99) to get the additional 1MB of Internet data. I don't think that's a killer however I do think it's the best deal. So if you want the e-mail on yor phone via the regualr POP3 service then yes you'd have to upgrade. If you don't want to pay the extra $2, you'd have to use the slow WAP interface to check your mail etc, which I think is more trouble than use......

Sent you personal message too.....

I'm in DC and I have the $5 internet2 service with voicestream, but my email access didn't work until T-mobile gave me a separate DNS to use. Using the default DNS provided with the regular "wap" apn always gave the message "finding server" which would then time out. With the new DNS number, I have pop email access using gprs.

I use T-Mobile GPRS to send and receive email from my cable modem email account. I have Knology in Montgomery, AL . and all I did was look in Outlook at the Knology account and ping my pop3 and smtp servers to give me the ip equivelent and I used those as the servers, 110 for the pop3 port, my email username for the mailbox, my email password for the password, and 25 as the outgoing port. Mine works fine.
