As much as i agree with you fatreg matey, the only thing i can see is our other army boys will be in far more danger because if his location is given up and something happened to him it would no doubt spark a massive war etc.... if he did get targeted (as you'd imagine he would) and did suffer a horrible fate, do you honestly believe the British gov. and army wont retaliate... so in principle i think on this occasion (where we are not fighting for possibly the 'right' reasons) the right decision has been made, although i have read harry would leave if this decision was made, and fair play to him for that... but like i said, i don't think en-dangering other men or the heir to the thrown on this occasion is the best idea... for me him being sent out there would just be to prove a point which could horribly back fire...

I'm outraged its total bullshit he wanted to join the British army then make him fight if he dies in service so what, he wont be the first and wont be the last, just because he's a royal, my auntie thought her son was special didn't stop the army making him go to afghan and getting blown to pieces, this country is doomed, they should of nuked Iraq, afghan etc years ago, Harry should be made to go i don't care who his parents are he joined up he fights thats the way it is with all other soldiers.

What a surprise this is i mean seriously did anybody actually think they would have let him go? There was no chance it was ever going to happen. I agree with masseur by letting him go they would be putting others at even more risk.

its also not a precedent for forces staff to be prevented from going into a conflict zone. I've read it, and also heard it on GMTV this morning that the military will and have prevented other people from going to such places (like Belfast etc) when there existed specific and direct threats
