i think thread starter means who is the most technologically advanced in general. He is not asking who produces most advanced phones, thats an obvious answer isnt it......

is not behind at all, they just dont implement it into their phones like nokia.... and as far as samsung and motorola go, i dont see how they are that far ahead of

technolgically, they have not shown much.... only thinness.... Maybe Samsung as a general electronics company, ie, tv's etc....
Saying

is way behind is incorrect imo.....

if they have the technology, where is it? because its not in any of their phones.

It could be that there is no proper planning or they are weak in their designing dept.
Lets not forget even a gaint like Canon is not in the cell market at all......
Maybe SE is waiting for its time to come..............

I don't care what you posted earlier on, but THAT question, was stupid. Everybody knows that

is going for midend phones this year. EVERBODY. Of course they have the same "amount" of technology as Nokia, they just don't think that's what their buyers are looking for. And in most cases, they're not. The only reason Nokia is doing this, is because they've these advanced series such as N-series and E-series. If it wasn't for those series, Nokia would still be doing mostly midend phones.
Wait and see, Sofia will show that they have the technology, that you're talking about. They're just not interested in being number 1, just face it.

without sofia being a smartphone, they can never ever hope to be in competition with Nokia.
smartphone = smart
java based = not so smart.
Midend phones "this year"? can you name one 'high end' phone that sold well and was problem free in "any" year that SE sold?

@QVGA
dude, why are you comparing non smartphones and smartphones??
No, I can't. All phones have small errors / bugs to start off with. ALL. Every manufacturer sends out new firmwares repairing bugs etc.
