Yeah, go on and compare a non-smartphone with a smart one.If all the phones have screen and keypad, and if you can talk on them...they are all the same basically, one can expect same reactions and beahviour.

To put it simple i ask you... once again: Have you read any of the topics related to your phone (M600 or P990) ?

And yes, i for one do take negative feednacks, as long as they are solid, not some smokey statements.

well, in standard setup from an operator it would be rubbish - i hated mine when i got it - but unbranded with latest f/w or tweak peaks app - it is pretty decent - the lack of mem is poor on SE's part though

i think we're quite free to express our opinion on the usage of the phones we own.

if i say it's great, then everybody agrees. but actually i haven't given any hints why it would be great. but when i say it's not really great, and giving a hint, then most of the people complain...

there was never a clue on comparing a smartphone to a non-smartphone. but the phones capabilities itself speak for it. the UIQ series is just slow and problems affected.

and yes, i read through the topics about p990i or m600i..everybody loves them, but hates them because they have problems that should be fixed with the next firmware. there's just one out a month and already everybody wants the next firmwareupdate...

does really everybody love those phones?

I have had W950i for more than six months and it keeps getting better with every release of firmware and I sure that I would not consider buying any other phone available in the market, the only issue is the sound volume and i think I can live with it.

@msujay

Off topic I know (but then again, this topic is silly anyway), but have you tried using your W950 with a MBR-100? I've got one and when I plug a set of headphones into it and pair it up with my W950, the music is waaay too loud. There's no way that I can run it even close to full blast.

I also have a set of HBH-DS970's that I use with my W950 and they are plently loud enough for me as well (and they sound great too!). However, they're no where even close to being as loud as the MBR-100's are when using a good quality set of headphones.

One thing I did notice is that when I use the DS970's the phone's volume controls produce the standard voulme display on the phone whenever I change the phone's volume. However, with the MBR-100, changing the volume on the phone brings up a really cool Bluetooth volume control screen that appears to make the phone go MUCH louder. Strange but true.

i also love my m600. with the latest update i've never had a problem with restarts, sound volume is much louder (speaker)
the only bad thing i can mention is it's kinda slow, well opening the first time an app because after that, there's no problem

same here. Just love my little m600. But I'm thinking about getting the p1 since it has wifi and a cam. On the other hand if I'll get the p1,I'll probably be stuck with it for 1+ year...

I have a love/hate relationship with my M600i.

The keyboard is great, the screen is good, I love the push email, mobile surfing is OK too.

The bad: Frustratingly slow (the slowest phone I've ever had), crap address book (compared to Windows Mobile), and stupid stuff like the proprietry connector (come on, mini USB please). And from a freshly booted phone starting a new text, selecting a contact etc is painfully slow.

I don't know of an alternative though.

Now that I agree with 100%. The phonebook is terrible compared to a lot of other devices (even a BenQ-Siemens EF81 does better), although I can live with the slow initial startup of programs, but the actual start-up time of the phone has only ever been beaten by my windows 98 computer (which took 15 minutes to boot to useable) - it is probably THE SLOWEST startup time I have ever encountered, although generally the phone in use is reasonably brisk.
