The K800i is a wonderful phone and deserves this prize. There is no other phone on the market that can compare to it for both looks and features.

Except the K810i + t650i

@goldenface

I agree it is an impressive list and i am not saying the K800 isn't a great handset either but that statement is just wrong. When the K800 was launched it had an acknowledged EROM problem that led to lots of them having the red blinking LED that required going to a SE service centre to be fixed. That is not my imagination it is well documented as fact both on this forum and many others and contradicts the statement they have made which is incorrect is it not. That is all that i am saying they have made a statement that is untrue and i really don't understand why they would do that it just doesn't make sense and IMO detracts from their credibility as basically it makes them either ignorant or liars neither of which is good.

...dogmann - it's a good point you're making, but I think there's not a single award that's ever emphasised initial problems, is there? i agree though, and in a perfect world the level of honesty you expect would be the norm, and wouldn't lead to pseudo-moral outcries... But heck?! Of course the sources reporting on the awards should've pointed out that there were problems!
But awards are like that - that's why you can boggle it into "ads war" at the oscars they don't say how crap a movie was in parts, they say how great a, b, or c was in it! Sorry, marc - would be nice, but the world seems rather unready for honesty!

@ Goldenface,

There is nothing wrong with the statement on the whole they just needed to omit the claim of low returns and all would of been fine IMO. It would not of even been noticed that it wasn't there but by putting it in they lied and i just can't see or understand the point of it sometimes PR and spin really screw up IMO.
