wow, the music button pressed while phone is locked really sounds useful man... Sometimes i accidentally pressed it also.

to tell the truth aint that sure that it is a good thing..

remember that with previous fw the music started when keypad locked only if the walkman app was opend or if not opened by pressing 3 secs the play button..

to me this never sounded as a bug, but rather as a choice of giving the chance to start the music on the go without having to unlock the phone...


how many chances are there to press by accident for 3 secs the play button? not much to me..

besides the only real thing I ws looking forward to seeing in this new fw was an increase of volume of music and ringalarm...

My sentiments entirely.. The music and alarm volumes are much too low..
As far as the play button working when keys are locked.. it still happens but it appears you have to press it longer.
Mines in a pouch case and if it goes into the case the wrong way round ie the play button is facing down, then it sometimes turns itself on in walkman mode.. embarrassing

Not much else that's different tho'...
I got more excited to finally get a version of PC suite that works on Vista at last

that was a bug??? I always though tit was a feature. One that I liked. Especially if i was jogging and wanted to skip a tract or stop the music and talk while it was in the case.

same here:)..and now that it does not have it anymore it really seems that it was very useful..

anyway it seems that for some ppl it was a problem.
for what concerns me the only times that the music started by accident were when I forgot to completely close the application..

Wat's most irritable is when yr walkman app is on & yr phone is locked... Accidentally while walking on the road u pressed the play button.. That's really &*%*#!&$...

apologies .. I said that the walkman turned on still when the play/pause button is pressed when the keys are locked....... DOH!! it doesn't anymore..
However, on balance, still happy with the new firmware..

been reading the P990 thread.

Found this on the Sony Ericsson Developers forum:

No new firmware is planned to be released for the P990 and W950 after R6D23 released on June 15, 2007 via the Sony Ericsson Update Service. The last firmware release for the M600 was R6A16.
