There is nothing "smart" other than it is dual use - phone + PDA (also with music player and camera). Only the idea behind smart phone is really smart.

so you must keep your promise

come back to SE
@Kikos, that seems quite cumbersome to me... why do all this when you can do the same stuff probably in a better way on my already "smart" phone?

)
It sure is interesting though.
I'm like the purist, no "pseudo" smartphones for me

I'll buy a smart phone later when I have some more money to spend, and when I find one that is worth the money (the most important)

@kikos, I used to do all this on my old workhorse the dimunitive Ngage QD.. I am not the typical smartphone user with a large budget. I just upgraded to an N73 after two years...

Because it's an N95 - Nokia told me that it is. I'm brainwashed.
Kidding.

its a case that the phone does more than the standard phone, camera and music player functions, and you can install a wide range of applications..

to be honest, I've always thought that "smartphone" was sales-speak for devices intended to be marketed towards business people but I've never taken much more regard for the term than that as many phones can be considered as "smart" by many of the descriptions given here and elsewhere.
Looking at the probably more easier to describe flip side, a dumb phone surely is one that can only make phone calls and keep a simlpe list of contacts and calendar.
so by definition a smatrphone would be a phone that is not dumb!?
back when pc's started providing emulators for computer terminals, they were marketed as smart as there was alot more functionality built into them than the dumb terminal they replaced.
and so its the same for phones IMHO
