Without knowing, where you're from (and what kind of dollars you mean), it's impossible to tell you the price of the HTC TyTN, as prices are different in different countries.
The P990 is very cheap nowadays, the TyTN will cost you alot more.
In my country a new P990 now costs around 2/3 of the price of the TyTN, a used P990 even costs only half as much as a used TyTN.

The built-in speakers are loud but not good (as they are small). If you connect to external hi-fi speakers then it's good but not loud at all (no partying).

Damo,ive got an N80 as a 2nd phone use my W900 as my everyday and i find the W900 sound quality better and louder than N80 and i knw the P990 has around the same sound as W900, I have to say one great thng on N80 is that beautiful screen,but otherwise its to small especialy compared to P990,anyway, i was going to suggest an I-MATE SP-5 but only problem is that it doesnt have 3G, otherwise its a great phone

The speaker is fairly loud but not as loud as other phones, such as the w900i. The sound quality isn't bad for a mobile phone but again, there are better choices out there for music playing.

Well, I feel kinda sad for you when you kept saying P990i seems like a Turkey phone to you. It actually turns out you never had a chance to even explore P990i. I guess everyone in SE should be fired for having P990i cretaed, and purchased by many when it was launced. You Poor thing...

Nevertheless, I would disregard any other negative comments on P990i. It has been a great journey using P990i, and should anyone not happy with what I have said here, please just continue using what you think is better for you. I have an advice for FARCRY to go ahead and buy it now. Seriously, P1i has kinda weird keypad compared to P990i. Let's wait and see how the Sales goes for P1i, although I must say I really liked it only because it has 3.2MP camera.

Go for it FARCRY! (Don't have to bother about Turkey brains aka damo55...)
