alex i wouldn't worry. you paid by paypal so you will be ok, plus you said you got other details either, plus if you get your mum involved i don't think that guy will ever be able to go near a computer again never mind ebay, so don't worry, i am sure it will all be ok.

Hi A3LX,

The T-Mobile box has no branding on it so i wouldn't worry about that the only thing is you are only covered up to £150 as this seems to be his Pay Pal protection limit but hopefully all should go well for you. Not everything on E-Bay is a scam or con.

well im nto selling the k800i until my n95 arrives and is ok, he seems genuine as he was a bit unsure of paypal and didnt trust it so we said we were verified and he has decided to ait until the funds are transferred into his bank to make sure....somehow i doubt a scammer would do that. Also i looked at the auctions for his cars and they seem very thourough and actually good overall condition.

so thanks you guys for the reassurance

Be aware mate that Paypal can take up to seven working days to clear funds into an account so you could be looking at ten days before you get your new toy!

you should never run lithium batteries down to empty because there is a chance they may not subsequently take a charge due to the way they work.

This is also why you always get a half charged battery these days when you buy a new phone

IMHO, don't get hung up on the battery. Just charge it each night you get home and if you find you don't get the life out of it that you would like then buy a second one as they are cheap enough.

I have a spare N95 battery and the only time I have ever used it is on flights to/from Australia as I watch some videos and stuff on the phone

but they say when you buy your phone you should charge up straight away to full, any way that i can do this on this seocnd hand phone? and also does that mean i should never let my batter go completely dead?

didnt see your last post as i replied like almost simultaneously...where could i get an OEM battery cover if nokia do these? if not looks like its off to cnn.cn if the t-mob branding is bad

they OEM?

and about debranding when you chnage the product code, and flash do you then change it back to your product code??

and is this so-called "product code" just like a CDA on SE's and all the n95s from UK will have this EURO1 one?

oh and another thing...is it true when you register a payg simcard you have to wait 3 days from your first top-up for t-mobile to provide you with the unlock code or cna i do it straight away?

yes, they are original

yes, its recommended to change the product code back after flashing

yes, product code is similar to CDA in that its what the update service uses to determine what firmware to flash but as I have not bought an unbranded one (I have only debranded) I have no idea about the last Q

i just kinda see it as silly because what if i was to use the nokia update manager again and i had chnaged my product code back it would put voda softwar eon and i'd have to use that nemesis thing :S
