Hi all

Surfing is navigating to a web site and looking at it and although this also downloads a certain amount of information obviously for you to be able to view it on the device it is not actually downloaded and stored on your device. Downloading information on the other hand is just that you are downloading information to your device that is being stored would be my definition's but how the various Networks define these things is any one's guess.

@aatuif

I really don't know to be honest as it is down the Operator to decide, all i can say is that thankfully here in the UK with T-Mobile they clearly state what you can't use your allowance for and have different priced packages that allow these other services. So you can know easily what it will cost you per month and what you can do without having to worry about racking up a large and unexpected bill.

This really is the only way to encourage Data use and allow it to grow IMO and sooner or later all Operators will have to offer these type of plans to be competitive within the market or risk losing customers to the Networks that do IMO.

Unlimited data plans are still the best bet, although a bit expensive...

@aatuif

Not necessarily the basic Web N Walk with T-Mobile is only £7.50 per month for up to 1GB which is much cheaper than some Networks that charge around £2 for 4MB.

Hi!

I finally got my bill today, and am quite happy to see I haven't been charged for the amount i transferred in the pervious month.

So looks like the email client 'surfs' after all!
I hope it's the same with all the other operators out there. This makes unlimited plans so worth it.

Regards,
Maximus.
