Well my view is the N95 has an awesome music player. All my music is converted to 320kbps and i use sony mdr-ex85's and its the best music playing phone i've ever used ;-)

N95 is the best, I have tested it with the same music files as on the P990 and W950 using expensive hifi quality headphones. The difference is staggering over A2DP

I already have updated my n95's firmware, the hissing sound is still there. I am using creative EP-630. At full volume, it is no compare with my n91 8GB.

Just today, i took it back. (my n91 8GB)

Reasons:

1. N95's sound quality is very artificial. Created thru software, like n70's installed with players with equalizers.
2. N95's built is really plastic. very very plastic.
3. N95's music jack is on the left side, very very annoying.

On the otherhand.

1. N91's look is very metallic. Sturdy.
2. N91's sound quality is still the best. I already did a test with my office mates, while both phones were hidden.
3. I could sacrifice other features that n95 has. But not the sound quality.

I think for nokia to release an 8gb n95 the music must be fairly decent..

@QVGA
The loudness of music's volume doesn't determine quality

But the N91's music quality is still better than the W950. I've tested it out. Just more 'full'.

I dont think the 8GB n95 will beat n91's sound quality. Unless the hardware will be chaged.

Heard about DSP CHIP thing that is present in the 5700 and the n91. which i think is not present in the n95.

Exactly, the DSP chip(Digital *Sound*(not *Signal*) Processor,or also DAP(Digital Audio Processor)) is the reason why N91 is still the best.I don't know if 5700 has the same audio quality, though. The fact that 5700 has DSP chip means the sound is improved, but doesn't mean it is equal in quality to N91's one.

I seriously doubt Nokia will change the hardware, because they haven't done such thing(adding a DSP) to any other ME phone before. They'll change the software, may remove the A-GPS chip, but adding a DSP means change of the whole "motherboard" traces and etc.Its always easier to remove something than add something.
