@RxistKJ: I am in Dubai on vacation at the moment and have been hunting it down like a crazed demon these last 2 weeks
Finally got it this evening.
It's still not launched on a mass basis here yet, only coming out in small shipments to select retailers.
If you're in the US, I honestly think dell.com is your best bet. Most other online retailers have exorbitant prices at this time. Heres the link:
http://accessories.us.dell.co[....]&l=en&s=bsd&cs=04&sku=A1213059
Availability is a bit long though....but that's the most decent price I've seen stateside.

I made the switch to Nokia with the N73 and haven't looked back. My sights are on the E90, but I'm taking it slow and listening to the reports from users first. I upgraded from my N73 to an N95 along with an E61i and I now switch off between them more than my wife switches her handbag! Looks like the E90 could take the place of both the N95 and the E61i though.

Oh well another thread against P990.
The key thing is to get phones when you really need them and not just for the sake of the little upgrade. I mean I don't understand how people changed to P910 from P900.
I am a happy owner of P900 for the last 3.5 years, and I skipped P910, P990, M600, W950 and now I am patiently waiting for W960 to really feel the upgrade.
Always wait when a new UI kicks in, because problems need to be solved. Now UIQ 3.0 will be very stable in W960.
For all those not buying an SE again, I will just say that nobody cares. Just buy what YOU want and what makes YOU happy, and ignore the rest.

t-mobile,
you're right a bit, but you cannot just shrug off the itsy-bitsy fact that the 990 was supposed to be a bit more than just a rubbish p800-plus-update!
When it came out it was almost double the price of my e61 and a bit dearer than my treo 750v, and both, for different reasons, kick the p990's butt!
As i said, I luckily bought it out of maliciously cynical curiosity, NOT because I needed a reliable smartphone - but even so: it is unspeakably bad!
And today I had a bit of a browse for 3rd-party software...

I'd say what's on offer speaks for itself! no one, it seems, can be ar*ed to bother with that lemon! There's more interesting freeware for s60 3rd ed. than what's available for the peeee for good money (not to mention wm)!!!
But back to my point: you are right as a smart consumer, but nevertheless: people are entitled to expect a lot, A LOTmore than that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@bondizi:
Thanks for the information. I have seen the E90 on Buy.com and keenzo.com for a little less but they don't have any in stock. I think there will be a flood of inventory at the end of July.
Enjoy your vacation...and your E90...

@Samlala
Why people bought the P990 in good faith and some paid very large sums for them they have had 10 months odd of Firmware upgrades and if they are unsatisfied at the level of performance compared to what was promised they have every right to proclaim there disappointment.
It if it upsets you and others that people dare criticize the once great SE for their actions don't read it. But who are you to tell people what they can or can't do this is not your Forum and no one is abusing the Forum rules or being rude. If you have a problem with this thread report it and i am sure if it is in breach of Forum rules it will be dealt with.

well i my self have some dispointed with P990, but what can i say ( from all SE product, this the biggest mistake, but everyone made a mistake, the most important is how you learn from the mistake and repair it in the future)..........
N95 is good choice if you dont mind with its battery peformance and E90 its a good choice too if you dont mind with the price (almost $1600 in my country)
but for me..... i will wait for W960 and see, is it a decent product or not........ well SE made a mistake with P990i, do they make it again with W960 and P1i?
i hope not.
