I think the software is just pretty shaky. I have Vista Ultimate 64bit + w950 and the PC suite does work. But sometimes I just cannot connect. The same happened with the previous version of the software with XP and my w900.
I cant find any reason why it should work one time and not the next?

Did you find a solution to the missing CDC Comms Interface driver? I have the same problem with a P1i, and SE Tech Support has been useless.

Just checked on SE website maybe I overlooked some more additional files to be downloaded, and no luck

I have Vista x32 and it has been working great since day 1, but Vista x64 unfortunatelly still has many driver problems.
Try running the setup "as administrator", using the right click menu option over the setup.exe

This is really strange...
It keeps searching for the drivers of CDC comm interface, and then fails to install the device, and hence, PC suite is rendered useless.
Any recommendations?
sorry for english.
update three unknown devices (Device Manager, Other devices) from
C:\\Program Files\\Sony Ericsson\\Mobile4\\Drivers2

Before doing another Setup, I'd first suggestion uninstalling SE PC Suite. Reboot - this writes finals to the registry. Login as an Administrator to your PC; run a freeware registry cleanup app. Then install.

Agreed. For cleanup I sugest CCleaner from this site:
