yes, very anoying.
as i sed, i remember specifically getting a message from tmobile saying there will no longer be a large notice or icon when texts or voicemail comes in.
MAYBE its p990 specific ? i guess if other people from other carriers mentions it it might help confirm it.

mabie you have your sim contacts and your contacts in phone? this happened to me. erased sim contacts and it was solved. are you able to see the pictures when someone calls?

i currently have my contacts on both sim and phone mate, and yeah i can see the picture when they are calling me.

ok quick update guys.... deleted all my sim contacts so only the phone ones remain. the picture is now appearing when i receive texts but not as big as i remember on older sony ericssons, is this normal for the p990?
