I also had other ranges of other handsets from Vodafones own brand, Nokia, Ericsson, Sagem and Trium (the old generation handsets) so i'm not saying the the other manufactures are not good, it's just i seem to prefer the SE handsets more plus i've been using Sony Ericsson over 2.5 years now so very used to them.
As i already said that the K810i was quoted as "free" on the time i enquired about the upgrade. I had to pay £30 for my W800i when i upgraded so buget isn't a issue here.

On the Orange website it quotes that the W850i has 5 hour talk time / 14 days standby, but in the shop they quote 9 hours talk time and 15 days stand-by.
I've also checked the specifications of the W850i on the offical SE site and that quotes as:

Talk time (up to) 9 hours 0 min Standby time (up to) 370 hours 0 min
EDGE
Talk time (up to) 9 hours 0 min Standby (up to) 370 hours 0 min
UMTS 2100
Talk time (up to) 2 hours 0 min Standby (up to) 350 hours 0
min
GSM 900
Talk time (up to) 7 hours 0 min Stand by (up to) 350 hours 0 min
GSM 1800
Talk time (upto) 7 hours 0 min Standby (up to) 350 hours 0 min
GSM 1900
Talk time (upto) 7 hours 0 min Stand by (up to) 350 hours 0 min
I know battery performance may vary depending on the network and phone usage, but which one of these would be accurate on Orange?
Those who already own a W850i on the Orange network, how long does the battery last for you?

dont get the w850. Does not lokk nice at all and in my opinion the only thing it has over the w800 is the walkman 2 play.

I say pick the k810i. It is more beautiful than the k800i and IMO is built better. There are other subtleties like the flashing icons on the keypad when the camera is on that make it a little bit more fun. Hopefully you don't mind the joystick.

In the same boat exactly as you. Had a W800, gone to 3 UK and now have a K800i. Everything is great. Phone and content is wicked! K800 rule!

IMO there's nothing wrong with the joystick. It's very comfy.
