i only mentioned the n80 coz you said "SE faithful with their blinkered vision just can't handle the truth". so i thought i would remind you that its not only who have lemons, even with updates. oh, the n80 still slow, sorry, i cant say its been updated properly. yeah the p990 was/is bad, your only doing your usual bashing though. again another reason i brought the n80 into it.

said they would stop updates, but then later came to say they will continue to support it...

this thread is pointless imo.

im out.

The N80 is not slow and even the battery life has got better but again what has this got do with with SE absolutely nothing. Show me one time i have ever claimed that any manufacturer produces a perfect device simply you can't as i am not that stupid. We accept that Nokia's also have issues when realeased but look at the difference in how they treat their users in fixing them and supporting their devices there is just no comparison to be made.

Don't kid yourself SE only agreed to one more Firmware due to the pressure of bad publicity all over the Web being caused by their angry and disappointed users not out of the goodness of their heart but because they had no choice and where forced to. Which is not even reasonable customer service IMO.

rofl! nokia needs more than a year or merely less than two year just to release a firmware to get a better battery? why mentioned it for? lessen the screen brightness, turn off the 3g band, switch off wifi n dont use bluetooth, keep the phone silent n don't let it vibrate, use a dark screen themes, if necessary, use 4096 color screen and it'll surely get the better of n80 battery, need not to spend precious time to research n develop a firmware for the issue

sorry to say but dogmann, u r just saved by the thread started unfortunately by wabre

yes we all know and wabre was correct at almost all the points, but IMO, p990 need not a friendly reminder for their myseri, whilst it's better to look for an invisible solution, rather than sitting n crying in frustration. i'm sure there r plenty of users out there who stil wish se will do wonder to their p990.

@Ares

I don't know i think the best joke is SE realeased the P990 that has never delivered what it said it would in fact not even close. Then they stopped fixing it within a Year and yet you all think SE is just so great NOW THAT REALLY IS FUNNY. I'm sure SE is laughing all the way to the bank with your money and again now with the P1 and now doubt will continue to do so as long as you keep on praising them for treating you so badly.

Dogmann @

I laughed at your post

also I dont think soly sold as many p990s as they could I have I myself was going to buy one but many reviews said it was buggy etc so I didnt who knows how much more they lost? This is why they learnt their lesson and doubled the RAM

I love Sony Erricson each phone of theirs i have bought has been very very good K700, K750i, K800i, and now the P1i I have had nothing but positive experiences because I research before hand.

After all the complaints ive heard about N80 im a bit suprised, 1st of all the battery life is pretty dam good,yes the phone is slow. . . .SOMETIMES otherwise i find it a lot better to work with than a P990 that i playd with, it realy works well, atleast im able to run Music Player + IM + MXIT + Opera Mini + Opera and Web Browser without any of em closing down. Anyway about this Thread goldenface is right,its pointless and theres a lot of threads just like this around here already, and they never end well

@Dogmann

I will neither start talking about my experience with Nokia products, nor my thoughts about the company & their policies, resulting thereof, as this is an odyssey, full of frustrations and disappointments, rarely (if ever true) satisfaction across the entire product range.

Believe me, I've used almost a dozen of their mobiles in the past and tested maybe another two, desperately trying to convince myself of holding a high quality product in my hands. (where high quality is the sum of excellent build quality + stable and average > fast fw)

Now back to P990i:

No one is trying to defend or praise SE, so, what's your point?

Your thoughts about the P1i users may be partially acceptable, at least the ones who couldn't wait to upgrade fm P990i.

But, hey, this is a P990i thread and we are the customers of their very first UIQ3 devices, misleaded & mistreated by SE.

So, I believe, you're on the wrong thread here, but the right one is very close.
