I believe that the file transfer has simply crashed with or w/o a notification and the fact that the beam does not exist in your inbox seems to prove this.
Considering that the total space on your drive c: should be something around 160 MB, it is very unlikely that you have had a space of more than 150 MB free which would be required in order to successfully transfer the file (I assume that the OS or messaging app has no additional limitations for the file size..)
And you cannot transfer or download any files (BT & IR beams, e-mails, etc.) to your inbox which are equal to or even bigger than the space available on your drive C: as this is the drive where all the files & attachments of the messaging app are being saved first and remain until you (save the attachments on your mem card and) delete those files.
The false indication of the available space on your c: drive may be due to a corruption or (hopefully) only a temporary mess of the FAT ((if messaging app is still running in the background).
Restart your phone and recheck the available space.

I get this, sometiles bluetooth'd files just disappear (Haven't had it work a single time since formatting the internal disk and master reseting).
Only way I can get stuff on there is writing it directly to somewhere on the phone via OBEX or USB, I no longer get the progress bar while sending files, and they neither appear in the inbox.
