I was able to connect to my router, at first it wont connect then I removed all the security and voila! Im connected

. I still need to find out which security is most applicable to the P1i.

I'm sure mine is faulty, I will have to take it back for replacement. I can get online with my Nokia N80, Sony VAIO laptop and Sony PSP. How are you finding the Opera browser?

They're good

. Did you try connecting to other network like from the neighbors?

All my neighbours' wifi networks are security protected. Anyway, I have a good outcome! I rushed along to my phone store this morning and swapped my handset. The new P1i got online straightaway! I just KNEW it was faulty.

let me jump in here.
as of yesterday i am the proud owner of a P1i ... and have suffered continuous auto-resets whenever i tried to hook up to my wifi network.
both at work and at home.
they're both WEP protected.
just to make sure i went to a local café that has an open network, and sure enough, i was able to connect. (didn't actually surf, because i felt dumb standing in front of the cafe with my phone

)
anyhow, i do not want to open up my network. there must be a way to get the P1i to understand 128bit WEP !?!

what do you mean ?
"you will get everything back" ?
i just got the thing
since i follow the rule of "don't try to fix something with something you have no idea how it will effect your thing", i am hesitant to try to fiddle with the intestines of my brand new phone.
AND, ppl tell me i already HAVE the latest firmware !
