Not only SE. I believe most HTC Pocket PC models are missing this functionality as well. Call recording is possible in the Smartphone edition of Windows Mobile, or "WM6 Standard" as it is called today, but not in the Pocket PC edition ("WM6 Professional"). Not even HTC's TyTN II has the capability to drive an Answering Machine application.

That is a shame, the '05 PPC Ubiquio 401 I had had it as a native function.....

I had hoped to get an a/m app for the HP iPAQ 514 which runs '06, too! Ah well......

I'm not surprised that the Ubiquio 401 can do call recording. That's actually a Gigabyte g-smart: compare this and this. Call recording is a feature a several of Gigabyte's WM phones.

My cousin O2 Stealth (using WM5 PPC edition) and it has an answering machine. Not sure whether the software uses WM service or workaround. It is part of O2 addon software called O2 plus.

SICK AND TIRED...

why dont you people use search... this question has been asked more than 100 times .. what are you people upto?

Please think twice when you come out with a new topic ... people are not free to answer the same questions everytime and then !! help is surely guaranteed but not this way !!

Cheers !!

If the search function was a bit better more people would use it! anyway it does not affect you in anyway what questions people ask, so why all the rudeness?

On the original subject In the UK it is illegal to record telephone calls without first telling the other party you are doing so!

Chill out dude! What's up with the hostility? The title of the thread is clear, don't read it if you don't like the topic or let Admins/Moderators deal with it.

Anyway, back on subject, I don't think there's anything to record calls on the P1i. I'd love one as well.

The O2 Stealth is not produced by HTC. Gigabyte and E-TEN phones do also have call recording. And Nokia's Symbian phones of course.
