is there such a switch to lock all the keys on your DS970?! coz what i have in mine is a different brand itech™ BlueBand R which has this hold feature to lock all the keys.. maybe if you have this mechanism on your device then its prolly malfunctioning.. or the switch is loosen...

hence... dont mind my post

no there isn't such a switch(though i like it's usage on my mp3 player)

but instead,i wish there were a reset key on the device, just like reset keys on rear of calculators...

those who own a DS970, how much did you pay for?
Take a picture at the back of teh unit which contain all the information.
If they are the same among those who owns them, they are fake.

and if it can be used for 5 mths, its not the charger.

i bought mine for 86.43 USD...

i'll post a pic of the information on the device soon.

about the charger.after 5 months, this was the first time i charged the battery using a charger (w810) other than k800's and ds970's...

even if this could be a firmware bug,how come it starts after 5 months???

on the other hand,as far as i know firmware upgrade can be done only by authorized SE service centers, and as i've already mentioned there aren't any here in damn Iran...
is there anyway to upgrade the firmware by myself?

one thing, yesterday the device was fixed again,i mean i hoplessly pressed the power button and it switched off,i was surprised switched it on and started to use it again but after a couple of hours buttons didn't work again...

so,i'm always keeping it fully charged (the battery worktime decreases though) in order to have it switched on all the time...this way i'm able to use the device(althought none of buttons work but at least sound is streamed to it).
if sometime the battery drains out there's no chance to turn it on again...

next time you go to a SE service center, would you please ask about my problem???
if it is fatal,i have to send it to an overseas service center,or post it to some relatives and ask them to take it to service...

your help would be appreciated buddies.

I had the same problem and found the solution to power off the headset.
In order do the following:
1. Switch off the BT communication from your PDA (mine is Goofiish X500)
2. Power off the HBH-DS970

It's works every time for me. For an unknow reason, if you try to do the reverse, the headset is stuck....

About the fake headset I've compared mine to these pictures http://213.19.178.16/se/ and it's seem to be genuine... or maybe they are perfect fake!!

thanks,i'm gonna do so from now on,but if only i can get it to work again...

can't be worse than this, the battery ran out and the device turned off and no hell way to switch it on again

i asked all persons and repair centers i knew but it seems that no one here manages to repair a handsfree unit, maybe they cant.

now i believe it's humidity that caused this malfunctioning, such a crazy behaviour from an electronic device always creates a room to reckon that it is a wetness issue which has damaged electronic boards inside the unit...
